If your question is not answered here, please contact us at info@boldestdreams.org.
I am not affiliated with Spelman College; can I join this campaign?
Absolutely! Anyone who believes in Dr. Cole’s mission to educate black women is welcome to be a bold dreamer.
How do I give?
You can give electronically by clicking the “donate” button on the top of the page. You can choose to not pay the processing fee by deselecting the option.
If you prefer to send a check, please make it out to SPELMAN COLLEGE, but be sure to write BOLDEST DREAMS on the memo line. (This last step is very important.). Send it to:
Department of Institutional Advancement
Spelman College
350 Spelman Lane
Atlanta, GA 30314
What is the deadline for giving?
This is a fully endowed scholarship so donations are accepted at any time. However, 06/30/2023 is the last day to join the Charter - as an individual or a class since the first award will be granted in the Fall 2023.
What is an endowed scholarship?
An endowed scholarship has been established by donors and invested with the college's endowment. This will be awarded in perpetuity, spending only the interest accrued in a given year, not the principal. As long as there is a Spelman, there will be recipients of Dream The Boldest Dreams.
I am a Spelman alumna. Does my gift to Boldest Dreams count toward my class gift? Will it be recorded in The Messenger?
Yes. Your gift to Boldest Dreams will be recorded just like any other gift to Spelman. For example, if you give at the Circle of Dreamers - $1000 level, you are officially a Spelman College President's Society Level Donor - as recognized in the Spelman Messenger. And your gift is tax deductible.
